How can the future change if the past generations don't teach anything but to submit to the systems in place?

We all know baby boomers are getting really old the gen xers and the millenials are what is in now, but we all POINT at broken windows and never want to tell each other to fix it. Why is it so? 🤔
Every time somebody says "I want to CHANGE something. I want to inspire and FIX something" it is coupled with an almost immediate response from older and "wiser" people to poke holes in the foundation of that idea with statements similar or quite such as "There is nothing you can do to change how the world works." "You're young and don't understand how hopeless that is" "You can't change anything by yourself"

So, how CAN the future change ANYTHING if people don't want to encourage to accept that we actually CAN? And why are some people saying you can't help change the world? 🤔
I think we all can, given we learn to trust in it, in each other, and listen. It would certainly go easier if we stopped trying to defend against change

The problem is adulthood. We all seem to think that once we reach a certain age, we need to give in and accept that we need to become bored, unfulfilled, jaded people who can't enjoy anything unless it involves sex or alcohol.

@BlueMetalChick I think it is a pseudo-curse for those who refuse to open their eyes and minds :/

we want strong revolutionaries, each failure adds a crackdown

@Jackaloftheazuresand you miss every shot you don't take and you cannot fix what's broken without hope

@SW-User any person that gives up from only that, wasn't serious enough😉

@Jackaloftheazuresand I definitely agree to an extent. Spirit is easily broken without oblivion

It's because over the years you've seen a lot of failure to implement any kind of structural changes that would actually help. You can't help but get at least a bit jaded. On the other hand, I saw the Berlin Wall come down live on TV when only a few years before that had been inconceivable. It was just astonishing how fast it happened.

Um. Things do change.

Otherwise the kids would be all over Facebook.

Whole Foods and “organic” wouldn’t be as prolific.

I can’t use plastic bags anymore.

There is a President Trump.

You need people who go on despite being told off.
