How do you build confident in your writing?

When writing a paper, I usually find the discussion that I want to write and quote from another paper, rather than just write it in my own words. I already thought of the idea, but I feel that I am more confident if it came from other researcher.

I shouldn't reference it, but just write confidently... but I never did. I should trust my thought!

I get that as well in most of my questions. but i try to take every comments positively.

I will check the grammar after i finish writing the paper. in the process of writing, i don't think it build the confidence much.

for now, i need to say to myself that my idea does matters even though this is my first manuscript. thank you @Trevo . You are very caring.

@TexChik Thank you. I should be more careful in my writing and learn more about proper grammar. Its just that sometimes I take the grammar mistakes for granted. I now know that I shouldn't do that. I realize that proper grammar show the quality of the writer as well as the quality of what they write.

Yeah you should. I think referencing, at least, when presenting the facts, could actually be a good thing. Then you can just write freely and draw your interpretations on the matter.

actually, if you read more papers, you would find that most of them haves a lot of grammatical problems since its not their native language. even a person born in America have a grammar problem.
