Has your life gotten better or worse since you reached the age of 50?

Better.
You truly come into yourself. Full bloom, less inhibited in several ways. But then I was always a late bloomer. 😁
Magenta · F
@Montanaman 😚 Comfortable with ourselves/our sexuality, etc, but confident enough you don't have to prove anything.

@Magenta exactly 👍🤗💕

I love being 50, though honestly, I feel more like 35.✨

@GlamGirl 😁🤗💕💋
@GlamGirl I will claim to feel like 40! LOL. And it feels great!

Yesss! It’s just a number. @PoetryNEmotion

I wouldn't agree with your assessment. In my case, it's been all over the place. There have certainly been some difficult and painful times since I turned 50, but there have been some wonderful times too. Sometimes, the most unexpected things come along and create amazing, life-changing moments when one least expects them.

I guess it's like any other period of life. Some good, some bad, and the odd just plain incredible thing that makes it all worthwhile.
Better, Kat! I feel great. I look fabulous. I am in shape. I have a bright future. Fifty is just a number. Is everything okay, my friend?
@SmartKat Are you sure? I do worry about you.
SmartKat · 56-60, F
@PoetryNEmotion At my best, I feel about 35. People tell me I look younger than my age. But it’s not all about looks. The past few years of my life have been challenging, to say the least. And it’s at least partly my own fault.
@SmartKat I wish you felt happier emotionally, Kat. Do you have hobbies? Do you go out and have supper out? Do you have friends? I mean besides here? I think the 50's have been challenging. I am so ready to grow with time. I am learning so much about me and about life. It is mostly good. I have to go. Nice chatting with you. You are cared about here. Remember that!
We have less physical energy even though we want to accomplish the same amount of work. Physical symptoms begin popping up that we never thought would happen to us. It is unpleasant.

Life gets better at fifty because you've reached that age where you don't give a damn what anyone thinks. Too bad that mid 60's it starts to go downhill physically.
fun4us2b · M
There have been way more challenges, which is ridiculous, I thought I'd be chilling having done "all the right things"
NiftyWhite · 46-50, F
ooooo it’s 50/50 right now between better n worse!
Montanaman · M
It is great in my 50's😋💕
Some things have gotten better, others have gotten worse.

Certainly takes longer to recover from strenuous exercise (and not so strenuous) but at least up to now I can still do it. Life generally though is fine, don't feel any different from 30s or 40s.
Travelbug · 56-60, F
I'm happy and know what I want and are doing it. But in a relationship now so adjusting is not easy.
exexec · 61-69, C
Better in most ways until I hit 60 and my body started falling apart.
SW-User
Health had definitely been worse
SmartKat · 56-60, F
@SW-User Yes, you’ve had some hellacious health issues.
SW-User
@SmartKat still on going unfortunately
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I'm having a great time. Not perfect, but perhaps my perspective allows me to be happy.
