Would Lie to protect a loved one or direct family member ?

Murder, sexual assault, any crime against a child

Rape, child abuse and animal abuse, I would not protect them.

I would probably cover for them if it was something small, or if I supported it, or if I get an appropriate donation. 😉

But if they're going around beating up children and raping people, then yeah, I'll turn them in.

I don't know my limits . It's never been put to test.
But I will protect the people I love.

For almost everything except committing a crime that I couldn't excuse. It would be situational, I can't say without knowing exactly.

It depends on the situation. But there are crimes for which I would not lie.

Sometimes I report them for crimes they didn't even commit.
