Do the people in your life realize how bad your social anxiety is?

@SW-User people really dont get it unless theyve experienced the difficulties it creates.

@NeuroticByNature Exactly. I really think that's why it's such any isolating thing though. At least for me, it's a vicious cycle. I work up the courage to go do something, then someone inevitably gets my anxiety really going, then my friend/ family member makes it worse by calling attention to it and saying something like "it's simple, just do it!" Or " you're just not trying hard enough!" Then others join in with them (against me).... it's awful. So I just stay home. Which makes it worse because the more you isolate the more afraid of mingling you become....😣
