If you could keep living by shedding your body and jumping to another body, would you do it?

The bodies come from people who cannot afford to jump into another body.

(Hypothetical situation, I know it's not possible).

Without a moment's hesitation, even if it meant terminating my current consciousness I'd probably still strongly consider it. (AKA killing myself.)

Casting off physical constraints is something I hope humanity can one day accomplish, however doubtful or hopeful it may be in my lifetime. I think it's possible, just we don't understand brains and consciousness well enough yet. Once we do better understand them I don't see why the structure couldn't be artificially constructed.

@UndeadPrivateer Precisely. Sure there are moral issues around it but I think this can be accomplished. Though moral issues might make it impossible to put it to practice.

@SW-User I don't think moral issues are any kind of constraint really, if it seems possible people will try it. We detonated nuclear devices despite a fear it may ignite the entire atmosphere, I don't see why we wouldn't make artificial humans because they might make us uncomfortable or turn rogue.

@UndeadPrivateer Remember the whole moral debate on cloning?
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User Mhm, and yet we're actively researching cloning organs for transplant.

@UndeadPrivateer Research yes. There is a lot of research about a lot of things. Whether it can be executed, especially not in the 'black market' remains to be seen.

@SW-User The cloned organs? I think it's coming along well and looking quite doable.
