Do you ever wonder what you would do?

As a Doctor or a nurse..I often wonder how they would handle a situation like..
A wounded suicide bomber from a recent terrorist attack arriving in the ER for treatment.
Do you think they would make him or her just suffer..take their time to get to them?
Treat all the innocent patients wounded from the attack first.
I wonder if they can refuse to treat them...

No,they can't and wouldn't refuse. On my second tour in Vietnam i personally witnessed exhausted doctors and nurses at the 3rd Surgical Hospital (it was a tent hospital) care for enemy wounded same as they treated their fellow American patients which made me proud and even more respectful of them for their devotion and upholding their oaths. I remember seeing our combat medics treating enemy soldiers and risking their own lives to do so.
You don't have time to stand around and decide fates, pass judgement,or have an opinion. You have bodies laid out. You treat them as you treat other bodies. When they are laying around in different stages of trauma, one body looks like every other one.

Well, I remember this episode of ER I was watching...this young nurse had just gotten off shift and was on her way home when her vehicle was hit. She died, and the driver of the other car was transported to the hospital where she had worked. Her co-workers were devastated by her death, and though the other driver got medical attention, he got no sympathy (he had been drinking), and the doctors and the nurses were all rude to him at his bed. Serves him right for drinking and driving.

So, I imagine that the terrorist might well get treated, but they wouldn't be treated nicely!

Hippocratic oath and what not...

I personally couldn't see anyone die, especially if I knew I could do something about it. Though that's easier said than done when things are hypothetical.

you would want them to live so they could go on trial then rot for the rest of their life in prison. that's gotta be worse for them then dying for their cause.

I imagine they'll do the bare necessities. Can't expect them to feel sorry for them when they caused it.
