Do you think that the real person you are has emerged yet?

Explain.
GwydionFrost · 56-60, M
An interesting question, since I am in the process of walking back to my earliest memories, and then going through and seeing exactly how I navigated, adapted, changed, and basically reacted all my entire life, to these accepted teachings I have been handed (that we all have).

This is allowing me the chance to see what wrongs were done to me, forgive them because I can now see what factors were in play with them I didn't know about (or recognize, like the fact that we all are making this up as we go to the best of our abilities and information), and then see how my reactions and lessons learned modified (for better or worse) my core self.

It's an extensive exercise, but I am convinced that I will be MORE akin to that REAL me, the one untouched and untainted by the corruptions and scarring, once I complete the journey.

@GwydionFrost I agree. It is like breaking the puzzle and remaking it again and understanding it all the better.

I would think so but there are still plenty of updates afore I exit!

It has, and always had. The real person that I am will be the one I am at any time. I can only try be as honest towards myself as I can be at any given time. The insight has raised over years, but at the same time has changes in who I am. It's not a given thing, nor a predefined size. Emerging is an ongoing process as I progress in life.

@SapphicHeart Thank you. :)

No I’m still in the Pupa state
SW-User
Yeah, I think it finally has.
Nat15 · F
No. I'm still scared of a lot of things. I'm still ignorant about a lot of things.

I have to get past all that before I can be the "real" me
SW-User
@Nat15 Indeed. :)

SW-User
@Madelenie I know what you're saying.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
Indeed, though I don't think the transformation process ever truly finishes.
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer No it doesn't but I suspect there comes a point where we feel the most optimum in balance to who we are.
MenzernaSF4000 · 36-40, M
No. But I feel if it will come out, it will come as rude and burn ton of bridges.
SW-User
The real person I am died back in my childhood.
SW-User
@SW-User That saddens me.
SW-User
@SW-User eh. It's life.
Equanimous · 51-55, M
