Ancient history, computer science, psychology, anything related to guns, anything that has an engine, archery, wildlife, photography, video-games, DIY, etc.
MasterofNone26-30, M
Brilliant question. What gives you one?
For me it's anything to do with civilization and humanity like history, artificial intelligence, other tech stuffs, renewable energy, cyber security, architecture, agriculture, spirituality, philosophy, how economy works, psychology etc. except religion and politics.
Also I like novels and movies which have some great inspirational characters because of my interest in psychology maybe.

And use of nerdy words like 'nerdgasm' and logical/scientific sentences.

@MasterofNone Thank you. :)

For me it's anything to do with human mind and behaviour, peoples experiences and what shapes them, mythical beliefs, ancient superstitions and rituals, sociology, wildlife, traveling, philosophy, finance and economy. I am pretty sure I forget some things here.

I happen to like the unusual made up words as well, gives me a right tickle.

I don't really think I have those. If I'm to get a gasm about a topic, I guess it would be the female body, but that has nothing to do with nerd. :/

@Classified Ai do. :P

@SW-User I'll try to answer more of your posts then when I see them. 馃槉

@Classified Lol sure. :)
Honestly... The Mongols
@ThePenguin I totally agree. I think they were very unique and pretty successful. Definitely worth studying, even if it is just to question military motives
ThePenguin26-30, M
I have an interest in them because of the simple use of common sense and the basic strategies as well as the psychology that brought the world to their knees. The military stuff comes as a bonus interest.
@ThePenguin I feel you! Ahh :)

Underground filmmaking of the 1940's to the 70's, often situated around the New York area. Some isms, such as nihilism, existentialism, stoicism, cynicism, surrealism, solipsism, and back to the film world the Auteur theory, made popular by French director Francois Truffaut.

There's a book i need to get by Truffaut where he interviews Alfred Hitchcock, a huge book for cinephiles, ... i like one description of it that says the two great directors "geek out about films" ^_^

1. Humans. Anything about them, really, from physiological to psychological.

2. The mechanics of the universe itself. Whether we are talking the quantum, micro or macro, I sure do love a good long look at what's under the hood of reality.

3. Disney buying Fox's movie division. Means the X-Men and the Fantastic Four get to come home and play with the Avengers.

4. My children and family, of course. ;)
SW-User
@GwydionFrost Hahah the first 2 are also close for me.

People call themselves 'serious coffee drinkers', but don't even know how to order coffee.

My friend on FB made a post about it, this is how it goes...

So I ordered a coffee, tall black coffee, no sugar, no milk and Barista gave me this weird look.

I read this post and went face palm.

Discussions about music and history, especially when the two topics are combined, really does it for me. Human psychology is another fascinating area. I love dissecting people's behavior and trying to figure out why they do what they do.

pretty much anything you talk about. also ocean life and sociology

@Jackaloftheazuresand Which group is this?
Jackaloftheazuresand26-30, M
It's been everything I've had interest in, video games, mycology, food, cartoons, music, etc.
SatanBurger36-40, F
@Jackaloftheazuresand I understand about the frustration. Most people don't have the ability to see past their own belief systems. Then I often wonder how many people agree just to agree with that one particular person.
