not necessarily. just because you have similar DNA to someone else doesn't automatically mean they deserve to be around you. family shouldn't get special treatment if they're not playing an active, healthy role in your life.

No it is not terrible. There are many ghastly people in the world who are related to somebody.

If a family member has been good to you then it is different. Don't reproach yourself for not caring about members of your family.

@Cgr1994 I felt exactly the same when I was your age as I was still living at home. I remember the bottles of alcohol lined up and my mum drunk all through the Christmas period.

I kept taking the dog out to get away and I cried thinking 'why can't I have a nice Christmas like other people'.

I'm free now and last year went to a church lunch with 2 men and I was so happy.

I really hope your day of freedom comes quickly. But everything happens for a reason. You learn from it.
