Possibly, but it's very unlikely. At a certain point, age or disability may stop them, but otherwise you have to count on the content of their character and you've already been informed about their track record.

I don't think so; quite hard to break a habit. Once they've done it once they may do so again. Depends on the person but nine times out of ten they just can't stop.

I believe some people can change, but not everyone has this ability.
