Favourite mythical creature?

I favour the Scottish creature known as the Haggis. Yes, it's also the name of a popular Highland dish.

I saw an episode of The Outer Limits in which a miniature Pegasus was crafted in a lab. Cloned from a full sized horse and wings added on.

@Cavedweller: were the wings big, compared to the horse?

I had a great grandmother who lived in the highlands, who told me about "the wee folk" also known as sprites or faeries. Apparently they gathered in the misty highlands. But the highlands can be gaseous which may explain her seeing faeries.
