What day do you think is most suitable for a wedding?

People choose mid-week because it is significantly cheaper.

if they're young, money may be an issue and mid week might be far more affordable.. plus much easier on an open bar tab.

It is strange and people may have to take off work so the attendance may be lower than if it were on a weekend .

Saturday though I married on Friday
