Few have had a pay rise above 1% in the last five years.
But the Coronavirus has given companies the chance to go into voluntary liquidation and so shed thousands of jobs they couldn't afford to pay redundancy for and the government borrows trillions to pick up the bill and so allow business to reset and restart from 0.

2023 is a reasonable timeline. Anything sooner is unlikely as the early vaccines will bot be very effective. It will be the second and third gen ones that provide a good immunity. Of course then you have the question of how well they will be taken up. The cost,, The availablity in all these trashed economies..馃樂

Once such a degree of power and control are surrendered, it is nearly impossible to get those freedoms back...as for the virus, it will be dealt with eventually..
