Do you think there will be a new normal?

After all this stuff..that shall too will pass...What do you think post corona will look like?
Ynotisay · M
It's an interesting thing to think about it. Some are calling it a "Black Swan" event but that speaks to something totally unexpected. We knew major viruses were on the horizon. But it's definitely a game changer.
Depending on how long this takes, I think remote work is going to have a lot to do with the other side of this. The infrastructure keeps getting better, workers are getting up to speed and like what it offers and businesses in a lot of industries are seeing that it's cost-effective.
If there is a big shift, a byproduct will be fewer car accidents, less pollution and more free time. That wouldn't be a bad thing right about now.

@Ynotisay ahhhh, there is also a bigger picture happening around us all..no matter how bad it may feel in the moment...

its hard to see all these people working from home wanting to go back into an office...that might be the new normal.
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@ButterRobot I mean the whole working at home thing, was a thing before this...everyone is for sure getting pushed in their limits, with all our high knowledge, and cutting edge technology...yes, you may be on to something there...

@ButterRobot Let's hope...

The vaccine will help prevent it in the future. I also think when this has peaked most of us would of been exposed and have some sort of immunity. As far as a cure or treatment. Most viruses can not be cured. They simply treat the symptoms.
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@Trenchycoat with all our self-serving knowledge, which we acquired somehow?...(;
Caramelwonder · 36-40, M
artificial intelligence will be the majority of the workforce the majority of the human population will either unemployed or working from home and there will be a complete overhaul of the educational system as we know it
Caramelwonder · 36-40, M
@Ladyred I think we could all agree that there’s no such thing as perfect but you can’t deny society is becoming more lazy at every turn
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@Caramelwonder I do not disagree, but society has not experienced their trees being shaken to this degree...in your lifetime..
2cool4school · 46-50, F
@Ladyred depends where you live.
YMITheWayIM · 46-50, M
I think I don't know much about the old, current and new normals but I am sure that there would be less air pollution for a good while.
YMITheWayIM · 46-50, M
@Ladyred Mother Nature knows how to tame after all.
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@YMITheWayIM We are merely humans having a human experience...(;

Society would realise that we are one ( hope) and that only evil wins when good people do nothing!
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@Orlbe Fingers crossed we as the beautiful humans we are at heart realize we need each other...high class, low class..middle class...we are all just humans at the end of the day...

If you listen to top experts in Epidemiology and Virology.... we may have up to 200,000 (maybe much more if states allow for lax regulations on public forums) die from this. What it teaches the mostly dopey public is something altogether different. I mean will people still go to mardi gras when we have a perceived pandemic and lick toilet bowl seats? Who knows. I would hope it teaches us that we need to be humbled by such a display of mother nature and take these things more seriously.
It'll be okay. Even the Spanish flu went away this will too eventually.
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether This too shall pass.. We are highly favored and loved...(;

even less interaction between humans,which is what they want ,to make us lose any sense of community or togetherness,civil unrest was only working so much, this was only a dummy run a test before they let loose the real thing. 😕 just sayin
Hard to say. Possibly things will be similar to the way we’re dealing with the flu; it may become seasonal, with a vaccine that lessens the chances of contracting it and mitigates the effects on those who do.
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@bijouxbroussard it is likely we have been given the knowledge to learn how to defeat yet another virus...we are smart like that, or so I'm told..(;
