What things did you believe to be true as a kid, that you wish were actually true as an adult?

All of them. Maybe it’s a mistake to let kids believe life is a fairytale. It will be a giant,grey,dull disappointment when you realize what it actually is. I think it’s one of the main reasons so many spoiled kids are depressed these days

That good people where the ones that got ahead in life and that bad people we're usually caught and properly punished.

That people all tried to be good and caring of others.

People who are married love each other.

One thing I thought to be very true, but in the opposite I found out to be false (but wouldn’t WANT it true however) , is that “they” know. Everyone out there just knows more than you. Coming from a sadistic household, that was what was shoved on me daily. I spent half of my life thinking EVERYONE just is better than me and knows. Now I’m only STARTING to see, it just isn’t true.

when i was a kid i’d find something really cool in my dreams and dream that i could use it in real life. I wish that came true - that you could bring something awesome from your dreams into real life

That there really was a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow....

That adults can do whatever they want with money being no object

That you can buy whatever you want if you have a credit card

You can do anything you set your mind to.
