Have you ever tried speed dating?? Square dancing? A cooking class? Volunteering? Talking with people randomly at the grocery store? Getting a more social job? Etc.

Follow your interests and you will find someone who will appreciate you for you, even if it's just a friend. You gotta work up to that. It doesn't happen instantly.
