Why is it so hard for special needs parents to understand that there child wants to have a life outside of them?

@SimplyTracie thanks for understanding and yes I am talking about myself and any other special needs person who are going through the same things I am when it comes to our feature. Are parents won't be around forever.

They are probably scared. If the special needs kid is able to though, these parents should relinquish that fear.
