I Love Accents

I speak various accents in my native language. I understand most accents when many people don't and it is like I play the role of the translator quite often at work because I work in a place full of different nationalities and quite often people don't get each other, and I am just laughing in between at the misunderstandings specially that I am the one understanding both lol..

I also spontaneously switch my accent when I am talking to someone to match theirs. I think the way I was raised has to do with it, but I consider it as something nice to have, often makes people laugh when I am sitting with a group of people that speaks various accents and I literally switch my accent with each sentence I am saying depending on the person I am addressing and I don't do it on purpose, other times I just find it an easier way to communicate to the person what I want.

There are certain accents I just don't get, but I am starting to listen to songs in these accents, while I find the songs nice, I am also learning the accents; this way I can add them to my "collection".
