@yeronlyman My brother has tried to find out (he spends a lot of time in Ireland ... journalist/golf enthusiast) to no avail.

I don't know about your Irish family, but my Irish family (especially the elders) did not talk about the past. Stoic to a fault.

Welsh, Irish , Scottish and english and the best one from England is the Yorkshire accent :) many more but just in England’s it’s yorkshire :) I might be Indian but I speak full ball English :) got looks and the accent :) anyways have fun with the Irish :)
