@HoraceGreenley: Two things I love about the authenticity of the movie is that sound guy Gary Rydstrom painstakingly located the real sounds of the guns online. There is also a POV shot where the camera operator shook the camera by duct taping a drill to the side of it! Take THAT, CGI!

@HoraceGreenley: Yes your right. That Film ask a couple of question and also show that the moral dies first at evry war.

@Meli4win: Spielberg and Hanks did this as an homage to their father's and their generation to demonstrate how they saved civilization and what they endured.
