Why do I ALWAYS end up liking boys when it's a complicated situation?

The theory goes like this...
When we are very young, we form our ways of bonding with others as a result of the dynamics of the relationships with and between the various members of our family.
Later, in adulthood, when we meet others whose traits of speech and behaviour unconsciously remind us of our primary caregivers, we feel drawn to connect with them. Very often these people actually suffer from the same sets of problems, and so they end up triggering our unresolved issues.

If we resolve those issues within ourselves, we become free of being attracted to such people, and they are no longer attracted to us.

We become attractive and attracted to a person who is much more functional.

Since no one is completely without issues, and differences are an inevitable part of individuality, no relationship will ever be without problems.
Then the art of a successful relationship becomes one of learning how to listen, and communicate clearly in expressing feelings and needs. This is not as simple as it seems, because our normal language and cultural ways of thinking do not teach it.
