Try high protein, you can eat some carbs with it but make sure it is not the starchy kind like potatoes or corn. Think green beans and salads.

no just high protein and what carbs you eat with it need to be low in the glycemic index like most fruits and vegetables, beans, minimally processed grains, pasta, low-fat dairy foods, and nuts. Carbs high on the glycemic index like white bread, rice cakes, most crackers, bagels, cakes, doughnuts, croissants, most packaged breakfast cereals, will spike your blood sugar.

Bc they digest straight into sugar so your body uses the sugar up so quickly you get a crash. You need to eat a lot of vegetables and fruit. And it will give you better energy. It helps me anyway

why i do is, stick on the high carb diet and cut out the exercise. But I don't know if that works for everyone.
