Do you think Wonder Woman is a "female superman?"

My best friend really hates superman. She also hates Wonder Woman because she thinks she's a "female superman."

This really pisses me off, because wonder woman is not a "female superman." Superman is an alien. Wonder Woman is an amazonian. Two completely different things.

I've been trying to convince her that wonder woman is not a female superman, but there's no point. My friend is really stubborn.

@ThePhilanthropeOtaku: If Supergirl really puts her heart and mind into it, I'm pretty sure she can be just as strong as superman. The directors don't want to insult Superman, so they make Supergirl a little less powerful.

Your friend's argument is based off of their superpowers being similar in that they can both fly and have super strength, super stamina, and superhuman resilience to damage. However, they have radically different personalities and backstories, fight very dissimilar villains, and ultimately are two very difficult to compare characters outside their powers.
