How easy is it to cycle with clip in pedals?

Do they clip off easy? Does it make much difference when cycling?

I've used both clip and clip less they do come off pretty good once you get used to them I have toppled over a few times when they have not released they do seem to help because you're connected to the peddles better

@newtomountainlife: that's what I'm freaked out about, them getting stuck 😬. I might get some to try

@lucetta12: The worst was I was crossing the creek and hit a big rock and tipped over right into the creek !! 🤣

My friends are more serious about cycling than me and they all use them. I've tried them and they are pretty good at keeping your feet in place (so you don't need to worry about slippage) and you do get more power out of them, but I'm always concerned I'm not going to be able to slide free if I have an accident.

@GlassDog: it's because When I'm on a straight road I'm always messing on with my pedals. I'm going to get some new pedals to see if that helps.

@lucetta12: I used to slip a lot on my pedals and used to use the shoes with the sticky rubber underside. Although with my new bike I just use normal footwear and it's fine. I think the pedals must be spikier.

@GlassDog: oh, I don't have spiked. Thanks. I'm gonna order some spiked ones.
