I got myself through university self-studying and it can be difficult to discipline/control yourself. Why don't you try something like this to play in the background while you 'drag' yourself in front of your book/s?

I would imagine how to explain the reason why I didn't study. I completed high school when most my 'friends' dropped out. I couldn't imagine dropping out after going through all those years.
