Is debt-free money better for the people than interest-free credit?

therighttothink50 · 56-60, M
Money backed up by nothing eventually becomes useless and worthless. A currency is only as good as the people's faith in it. What the last two presidents did to the US dollar is treasonous. They have destroyed the savers in this country and have rewarded the irresponsible. It is only a matter of time before the Ponzi scheme comes to an end. Then you will see the real rioting in the streets.

Who do you think should have the power to create currency?

Not me, just governments usually need to for practical means in a modern society, not private companies like the federal reserve.

sure. but interest free credit is pretty helpful, too.

@Stereoguy: But it's created through the purchase of goods and services, so it's not like it comes from nothing

@Stereoguy: They are two different ways of introducing money into the economy: the former creates money by spending it into existence while the latter creates money by lending it into existence.
