If you let your dog take you for a walk

Where do you think you'd end up?[image deleted]

My pug had a good female friend in the neighborhood and she died and he still goes looking for her.
@Starshine: was that intentional?

@Quoththeraven: She had rheumatoid arthritis and the first dose of Enbrel put her in the bed for a solid week. She went back for a checkup and the Enbrel had caused a flare up of Hepatitis B. Truvada is a very strong drug as well as Enbrel. He had given her all of that in that trip and she pain so took meds and went to bed. She was found 4 days later on Mothers Day. I fell it was gross neglect by a medical doctor. She was trying to get better so she could live馃槩

I've done this a lot actually. We usually end up under a tree that she's chased a squirrel into.
@Carla1951: We've never come across a duck. I haven't had a dog leashed to a collar in years. I prefer the harness. That way if/when they reach the end of the leash their chest takes the blow and not their neck. She's pretty good about knowing how long her leash is though.

@MightyAphrodite: Thanks! Not that I had anything to do with it lol
My cat takes me for a walk ... once around the house ... then he wants in ... and then we go get treats.

Picking up pieces of another dog after she got in a fight.. She is a rescue that was abused, she is now scared of other dogs bigger than her so is always wanting to act first thinking they will attack her.. Unfortunately she is big and strong and would kill anything if she got in a real fight
@AlphaPuppy: poor thing馃様

Yeah, im technically just her dog walker but I feel like she is my baby too.. She is soft as butter with people, mouthes a little too much when excited but is really wonderful with children, and always wants snuggles with me or to be on my lap

As we take our walk a few times a day, there is little to say in our direction. For the most part, it's a brisk walk around the block. I'm fairly certain by now he knows his way back home.
@Carla1951: that's where the good and warm bed is at 馃檪

@Quoththeraven: True

Had to smile at your comment. Pudge knows when its time to come in. He has all the excuses to ignore me. But he keeps me full of smiles.

You know I wouldn't ignore Nessy...

My husband's dog was a black lab. He believed that one's dog of choice is a reflection of one's being. Like, lab owners are tender, affectionate, mild, peaceful people. When hubby died, he was my sole consoler. Unfortunatly, he died a month after R.

He would show me the way home.
Among my friends' menagerie is a gentle black lab named Luna. She's so calm and sweet to everyone. When I first saw her, I was sitting on the floor and their Chihuahua came bouncing in, barking and jumping until my godson picked him up. Luna came in quietly, sat down beside me and placed her head in my lap. 馃槉
