And then the space radiation of 6 months travel would catch up a year after landing...

Best put that extra arm sprouting from your chest to good use, then.

I was 16 when the Mars One mission came out, I really wanted to send my application for it lol
If I got the opportunity, I'd take it in a heartbeat

It depends.. will I have to struggle in making a new life there at Mars?

@UndeadPrivateer: okay, also.. can I take a pet with me that will never die?
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
Hmmm.... Good question, and one I hadn't considered. I don't know how well an animal would deal with the 6-12 month journey in a little spacecraft. Cats would probably be fine.
No guarantees on never dying though. Better bring lots of cats, become the Martian crazy cat lady.

@UndeadPrivateer: oh gosh.. I'm on it. I'm going to find EVERY stray cat and bring them with me.

I'm with the other 78% on NO. It has nothing to do with the internet, I'm just not that adventurous in uncharted territory.😮

My life expectancy would be very short on Mars, but I would absolutely love to go.
