Why do people want to be popular so much nowadays ?

No. What does bother me though is; as a child and teen I was not AT ALLpopular. I got picked on a LOT! So now I'm a bit older (mid thirties), and I'm more popular than I want to be. I don't understand how or why that happened...I guess it'll just remain a mystery (unless someone can clue me in, lol!), that I'll try not to take for granted. Hmmmm...

I'd rather be able to look at myself in the mirror every day knowing I'm the kind of person I can be proud of. Popularity means nothing. It's superficial. You can be popular because you're rich, or have big books, or own a cool car, or just look beautiful, or be obnoxious and clown around. No thanks!
