Do you feel like you belong here?

@HalfCactus: I get it. You got and want depth of a similar frequency to yours to make it relatable. And that is necessary to make and keep long lasting connections. Sometimes all it takes is one person to make you feel like you belong.
And there are a few deep people on here too. I notice them on my questions. Or even out there on QnA. But a lot of people do not like to engage because more often than not they've been burnt and it becomes easier to fleet around.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: And that makes it harder for people to feel like they belong. I wonder if I were more engaging, would it be easier for me to belong? I don't know what it would take, honestly. I just hate drifting through life without finding anything to hold onto

@HalfCactus: I think it becomes a vicious cycle. Wanting to belong but not wanting to take the risk. I do think it is important to relate to someone at depth. It grounds us.

That's why I keep coming back. I don't know where else I could go and have anywhere near this kind of acceptance, as passive as it is. The weirdness is endearing, and definitely speaks to the sincerity of some people here, but I'm always left wanting for more
