Depends how sleepy, and how long you need to stay awake. Assuming no caffeine or other chemical intervention, you can try pinching at the corners of your eyes/the bridge of your nose, short bursts of vigorous exercise or doing something to give yourself a sharp little jab of pain to snap you out of things.

45 minutes of strenuous exercise, a hardship in the beginning , but after two weeks of going 5-6 days a week to the gym you reach the point that you LOVE going, it really get's the adrenalin going and yo start looking really good, and feel great about yourself.
