@bijouxbroussard: 1979 or 1980. Midnight show at a theater in San Mateo, with high school GF. I think that normally, the place was a porn movie theater (yes, in those days, to watch porn, people had to go to a movie theater). I did not dress up. People had toast, and all sorts of things. She dressed up. First and last time doing that. She insisted we go, and I thought the whole thing was stupid.

@Northwest: It was definitely absurd. But we had fun...possibly, me more than him. But he was a good sport about it. 😊

Dang, I missed my chance, but I hear it still plays periodically so maybe...

The one thing I wanted to do but missed out on. I didn't care for the remake but the original is great.
