Is saying ,"lets make America great agian," saying america isn't great?

SW-User
It's meant to cash in on nostalgia. The again part is more important than the great part. Conservatives by default hate change, so reinforcing their belief that changes tarnish greatness is the whole point. Trumps whole campaign strategy was to undo things

@Alison: he's been known for sounding that way

The easy way to control people is to get them to hate something or someone, or groups of people, or with fear.

To try to get Americans to be afraid of ISIS, is truly pathetic. How soft we've become. That ragtag bunch of brutes doesn't even have any airplanes, much less armaments to prosecute a real war.
I'm more concerned about white far right wing evil bastards here, who have killed far more Americans than Muslims here.

Trump is not very good at being a politician. He can't focus, he is impulsive, etc, etc.

Bannon is the one to be afraid of. He likes war. Do you really want yet another war, this time, a full scale one ?
it isnt great, but it used to be even worse. to me the saying feels like "lets regress". The world is changing and countries need to diversify or be left behind

There has been some regression and devolution since the turn of the century; sad to say.
