How does one deal with being too paranoid to sleep? Believe me I'm not high I promise.

Sleep time can allow us to explore what we want to avoid during wake time. Do you journal?
SW-User
yes I do, and sometimes I draw them out rather than write them down, some of my dreams I've posted here are extracts from my journal. Sleep? I'm scared one of these dreams will end up a NED and I don't wake up at all and this is why I am going through insomnia right now.
Peaceful · F
@AwakeningCompletion9: so if I hear you right you have NDE's during sleep and they are so real, you are afraid that one may go further and you won't wake up?
SW-User
Yes that's what I'm afraid of right now. That's what an NED is, Never Ending Dream@Peaceful:
Peaceful · F
@AwakeningCompletion9: so not waking up or waking and remaining in a dream-like state?
SW-User
Not waking up at all.
Peaceful · F
@AwakeningCompletion9: when did you start feeling this way?
SW-User
For a very long time, since I was a young kid, I have had this feeling the time would come around now or days away, the feelings have been way too intense the last few weeks maybe because that time right near.
Peaceful · F
@AwakeningCompletion9: have you sought counseling for it?
SW-User
Yes Ive been seeing councillors for the last two years, I refuse prescribed meds due to some bad experiences. I was able to fight this off well and get on with it but this week is too intense.
Peaceful · F
@AwakeningCompletion9: have they given you a reason as to why you feel this way? Childhood trauma or is it something else?
SW-User
It's something spiritual, and in connection with some past/future life regression. with the above mentioned. I have experienced childhood trauma too even in early adulthood.
Peaceful · F
Did this fear start after a specific trauma?
SW-User
No it's just happened randomly, I had visions and de ja vu moments and some moments I have lived in this present time, I swear I felt like I've been there, seen it and done it before, then I remember visualising that moment when I was a kid. I have a heart condition already so even a heart attack could finish me.
Peaceful · F
@AwakeningCompletion9: ok. I hear you and your experiences. Did you sleep yet? Because your body needs it. I know you know that, but when you add a heart condition into the mix, it worries me more. Is it an arythmia?
SW-User
No not arythmia, I had a silent heart attack, which is mistaken for pulpitations, (I found out at the specialist) but I did at first thought that, but that was caused from a reckless drug binge I had over a year ago. I never really looked after myself in the past.@Peaceful:
Peaceful · F
@AwakeningCompletion9: are you taking better care of your health now? Barring the fear of sleep? And do you sleep?
SW-User
Yes I am doing some serious repair work lately, I do sleep, pot helps, and it blocks the nightmares. But this week it hasn't been working, it's too haunting, I haven't been able to sleep in 2 nights straight.
Peaceful · F
@AwakeningCompletion9: is there a theme to your nightmares?
