Have you ever smelled the aroma of anything and your mind races back to a moment in your past? I was driving this morning with the window down and as traveling, I smelled a wood fire burning and it took me back 30 years to my childhood days, always with a fire burning at the house in the wintertime.

the smell of Africa. It smelled like blood. And drought. And the smell of the Brunsfelsia. Also known as, "yesterday, today and tomorrow." The petals would change from white to pink to purple. And the scent hung thick in the air.
