God gives each person the desires of their heart ♥️ ❤️ if they stay true to Him

Not sure about that.. many desires of the heart go against what is right in God's eyes.

@SW-User if one desire goes against....meaning is not good for the soul, He will grant a different, which is not against that soul and is better. Sacrificing the one that goes against is worth it. I have done it million times

@InHeaven I think even good desires may not be seen as what we need by God. Sometimes, a heart wants what it wants and we don't always see it's not best for us.
I think it may be safer to think God will do what's best for us?
The moral teachings of Jesus include these pearls of wisdom:
• don’t make any plans for the future (Matthew 6:34)
• don’t save any money (Matthew 6:19-20)
• don’t become wealthy (Mark 10:21, 25)
• sell everything you have and give it to the poor (Luke 12:33)
• don’t work to obtain food, such as meat, because it doesn’t last forever (John 6:27)
• don’t have sexual urges (Matthew 5:28)
• marrying a divorced woman is committing adultery (Matthew 5:32)
• act in such a way that people will want to persecute you (Matthew 5:11)
• let everyone know that you are special and better than the rest (Matthew 5:13-14)
• hate your family (Luke 14:26)
• take money from those who have no savings and give it to the rich investors (Luke 19:23-26)
• if someone steals from you, don’t try to get it back (Luke 6:30)
• if someone hits you, invite them to do it again (Matthew 5:39)
• if you lose a lawsuit, give more than the judgment (Matthew 5:40)
• if someone forces you to walk a mile, walk two miles (Matthew 5:41) • if anyone asks you for anything, give it to them without question (Matthew 5:42)
• if you do something wrong with your hand, cut it off, and if you do something wrong with your eye, pluck it out (Matthew 5:29, 30—said in a sexual context)
• if you are a man, then a good way to make points with “the kingdom” is to avoid women (Matthew 19:12)
And that's why there are no poor, starving or ill Christians.
Or are even the apparently devout not being truly true to god?

Sorry for butting in but platitudes like that bother me.

I don’t understand

I have not for years either @mysteryespresso it comes to each person in time for them

I belive its more likely He teaches us how to obtain what we desire through lessons that impart skills and wisdom.

The universe isn't a gumball machine of wishes. It's a lathe that hones us into fine instruments. Imo.

I'm sorry ,no disrespect but I just don't know who to trust God's words with anymore

What if the desires go against biblical law? 🤔
InHeaven · F
Sacrifice the one that goes against Gods Word@SW-User and you will get ten back

No god, just the idea of a god... 24% of USA is now irreligious and growing.
