Why did the covid vaccine hurt my arm so badly? I thought it was just a normal shot.

My arm felt like it was on fire and now it feels like someone punched it. The whole upper arm from the arm pit to the elbow hurts.
I was fine when I had mine. I was dizzy for 5 minutes and then nothing.

But I think that’s just because I’m not a fan of needles.

We are all different - personally I had no adverse reaction of any kind and expect my second jab to be the same 🙂
@Dlrannie both mine were the same...but I ‘m not rolling up for jab 3 unless all restrictions are off.Which is very unlikely in Wales.

@HotDad [image deleted][image deleted] hee hee 😜
I was sore at the injection spot for about a day after the Pfizer shot which was the same symptom as other vaccines I've had in the past. The day afterwards it was fine and I haven't had any other symptoms since.

@TheKingOfTheWorld I don't know tbh, I had the pfizer shot, my arm was sore like it was punched for about 20 hours, that's the only effect I had

Shows that it's working. Good thing you didn't get the real disease!

Better than Covid.
All that pain indicates a strong antibody reaction to the vaccine with plenty of inflammation.

Here's a theory about why you had a particularly strong antibody reaction - it's because unbeknownst to you, you already had Covid, possibly an asymptomatic case.
