I cannot overstress how much quitting porn has changed my life.

That shit is trash. Probably one of the worst things you can do to yourself is to get addicted to it. Just wanted to put that out there. You won't even realize how much damage it's been doing to you until you quit.

The first time I knew I had a problem was when I lost my virginity and I couldn't get it up. It made no sense to me, I was looking at a hot girl naked in front of me, and yet, my brain was thinking about porn. Made absolutely zero sense.

First off, you can check out the "Your Brain on Porn" series on YouTube, it's very, VERY instructive. I'd probably send it to anyone who asks.

Apart from that, I didn't realize how much it affected my self esteem, caused antisocial behavior, etc. It's only after quitting that I realize how badly it fucked with my mind. Thinking back about how I used to think about myself (and seeing that as normal and not even thinking anything was wrong with me) makes me thankful I quit. Furthermore I realized that it contributed in me having an oversexualized mind. I feel like I've regained a sense of normalcy and don't see the constant sexual side to everything anymore. Helped with my self control too. Not to talk of the ethical side of porn production and distribution.

You were addicted to it?

@somedude15 never understood how it would be possible

@MasterLee it's very easy to get addicted... Especially if you're introduced to it at a very young age. I've noticed that older men (the kind that grew up on playboy magazines as their own "porn") don't have the same problems younger people do (who grew up with high speed internet porn). I just edited the main post... The video there explains that too. It's probably one of the worst things a young man can get into, internet porn.

@somedude15 I never got into it myself

I've seen people all over different parts of the internet. Why exactly is that, though that people believe that? Just curious. Asking as a serious question.
