Can someone help me identify an insect?

I just caught this bug under a plastic CD spindle and I'm worried it might be some variety of roach. Anyone know what this is?

It's some kind of weevil. They are related to beetles.

@atlantic59 Well we did have Papa Roach.

As an older person, I really appreciate you informing me of the new strains...So much has changed and mutated since I was young. I remember when the Dead Sea was just 'not feeling well'....

Nah that's not a roach, looks like some kind of weevil or maybe those funny bugs you see sometimes darting across the water.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
Looks like a water bug at first or maybe a wood roach
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CrustyDDingus It does look fairly water bug like.

@BlueMetalChick I see those sometimes in the bakery during the summer. Thankfully it's not a roach, like the one that survived being baked into a muffin 😬
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@CrustyDDingus always an organically better muffin...

Nope hope you squashed it with a shoe the only good bug is a dead one
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
But I'm thrilled that you allow them in your bio-diversity outdoor platform. I'm a fan of your philosophy

@ExtremeNext You are and thanks!

I don't think it's a roach. It looks like the friendlies I have around here that just appreciate music. What are you playing?
@BlueMetalChick i like this one by him called cross town traffic. I like all his songs tbh but some i like more than others. I havnt heard evry song tho. His music makes me wanna get high haha

@atlantic59 awe, thank you. You just made my day.
Hm was it in the water? If so looks like a Waterbug. If not it looks like a roach haha
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TimingQuasars It was crawling across the coffee table in my living room.

I think it got on my backpack when I was out earlier tonight. The pack was leaning against the table.
@BlueMetalChick yah i dont think you should worry kill that one or throw it far away from you so they dont mate and make more . I think if theres a few showing up kill those before they multiply. If theres so rare then it is not a infestation.. Kill any single roaches like that one before they multiply untill you don't see anymore. it can work preventative measures haha n i think you should be good. Roaches are a type of beetle i think but i could be wrong. it could have hitchhiked on you like you said. Hopefully The case.

@BlueMetalChick compared to city dilemmas like bed-bugs, -nature bugs are a huge relief. Ticks can be problematic but, we wouldn't be seeing those that easy!

I don't know, I'd just squash it.
