I really need a therapist.

I can't handle life. I'm just scared to go because what if it turns out to be useless too? I've been su.icidal before and I know if it doesn't work out I'm going to be sui.cidal again.

{@brickbybrick] sorry to here this i would not dismiss therapy they are very good . i can tell you for experiencewhen i lost my dad in 2014 they where a god send and they really helped . so please give them a chance suicide is not the way out

I suggest trying going still, even in the case it turns out to be useless it'll have a smaller chance of leaving you in the state of mind you're now than trying to ignore the situation.

Yu will work it out because you have to. Regular people are a treasure and won't charge you to care. If you get lucky maybe a therapist will find you and also show you the way.

Much depends on if we scare them and show them their job can be challenging, then we can get hurt further. You seem pretty mellow though and you will have that on your side.

And if you don't rely on Medicaid you will have way better choices. I spoke only from my own idiotic experience. I'm a throw-away person and always have been...

but I doubt that is true 4 you.

Good luck on your search.馃グ

If it does not work out with a therapist , it might not be you who is the problem. There are many bad ones out there.

You promise never to speak like this again if I get you that Louis Vuittion bag馃様?

@SW-User Louis Vuitton can't cure this unfortunately
Not interested in online therapy? If you're concerned about feeling judged face to face and it interfering with the effectiveness of treatment...

@AnonymouslyYours I don't find online therapy effective.

I would take the choice of therapist very serious. Many do not personally commit themselves to your recovery. I would choose someone that is personally committed to you and your well being and can direct you into practical changes in your life that stabilize your emotional well being.

You might read that again.
I stated that not all therapists do not commit themselves to recovery.
I thought you were upset for some reason.
I would not victim blame on a post where someone is opening up about someone feeling suicidal.

The right therapist is critical.
@Pfuzylogic There is no effing bloody choice.

Unless you think I would lie just to entertain people.

Maybe in WA or Vermont the healthcare is more humane but in OK PA and NY there is no care at all. It is monetized and set up to rob Medicaid whenever possible and the pseudo "care" reflects this too

Positive thinking concepts can be found for free everywhere and that is what passes for therapy these days.

Problem is people can have their soul ripped out of them to set them up to be USED for the organized psycho racket and still end up with nothing but an unfinished coloring book and the hollow "positive thinking" overpaid hacks in their head...unto all eternity. And maybe no JOB or apartment anymore.

Spare me please

the system needs a revolution from bottom up. Should be clear to you of all people. You have the brains to figure it out.

@Elevatorpitches
I don鈥檛 really know you at all.

Therapy is never a bad idea. Just go and tell them how you feel. I'm in therapy too.
