Can any Germans explain Article 17 of EU copyright law?
I hear the country is planning on implementing it and that might have an effect of fanfiction writers.

Plenty of articles on it. Yet the intended effects do not look like they will prevent copyright infringement. Just on streaming media. Which actually is the low end of infringement.
Places like youtube and veno already follow corporate guidelines. Those who own most videos. See sony's policies.
So the new law is barking up the wrong tree when they should be focusing on other places than streaming media.
Now having said that. There's no way they will be able to effect the other places. It's not only not steaming media yet it's encrypted at the very least. 🤷♂️
