The hardest part for me was temporarily giving up the "triggers" IE: colas, coffee, alcoholic drinks and so forth.
But the best thing I ever did for myself was give up cigarettes....(23 years ago, think of the money I have saved by not buying them.... to say nothing of medical and insurance costs)

@Threepio I agree. And the psychologic triggers were there. I walked around with an old style ball point top in the corner of my mouth for a year.. It helped to draw on it now and then..
