When you’re nice, and selfless and think of others first and your spouse is opposite

So embarassing and frustrating. Everything is an issue.

@DoubleRings I guess you will have to evaluate what is important to you in your life. I personally could not endure such a sharp contrast in personalities. I would begin to dislike the person for being so self absorbed.

@DoubleRings How frustrating. I like volunteering but my ex didn't want to understand why I would commit myself to outside projects.
I lived part of my life hidden from him which in its own way became problematic.

That sucks. I can’t imagine the person wouldn’t end up feeling used and disregarded.

@SW-User it’s not against me, but we have different policies when it comes to sharing time and other resources with others. He can’t cope with sharing, giving, generosity. I thrive on it (and no I’m not stupid about it)
