Do you think death by lethal injection is a good punishment for murderers?

Like should they bring medieval executions back since they were much more brutal?

There are times when my emotions want there to be a death sentence. My logic says otherwise. It is savagely barbaric and should not be condoned by a country that supposedly respects and celebrates the sanctity of life. Proven not to be a deterrent for murderous crimes. Countries without a death sentence have significantly lower violent crime rates. Just my opinion.

No country that considers itself “civilized” should [b]ever[/b] consider returning to medieval executions or torture. In the U.S. our Constitution specifically prohibits “cruel or unusual punishment”.

@bijouxbroussard Drug companies are purposely witholding the drugs used for injection to facilities with capital punishment because of the horrendous incidents that have happened in several cases where the injections were faulty. A perfect example of "Cruel and unusual punishment"

No good punishment would be putting them through the same situation and the same suffering. Lethal injection is mercy

Because incarceration disproportionately and often unjustly impact brown and black people, the death penalty should be demolished.

@SW-User In the U.S. public hangings or lynchings were the dispatch of choice by white southerners for African American men, women [b]and[/b] children. That’s the reference whenever a noose is left among the belongings of someone black.

The goal should be rehabilitation. I'm strictly against the death penalty. Too many innocent people were later proven to have not committed the crime.
