I’m moving into a posh neighbourhood.

And feel like we will be the riff raff of the area. I mean these people are [b]rich[/b] We do ok, but we are by no means rich. I feel a little intimidated by my neighbours and we haven’t even finished building our house....

@DoubleRings That sounds like a self made crowd, which is good - I hope you have a good experience - people are people, good and bad...my neighbors on both sides fell into their money...meatheads both of them...but there's a few around here that I get along with, so it works out...good luck with the new house!

I grew up in a similar neighborhood. You may not attain the same economic status but that isn't important. What impresses people the most is having the qualities of CLASS that doesn't require a price tag.

You can learn ways to acquire elements of class on YouTube. One great way to achieve an element of social status is to find a local volunteer group. Watch the papers for fundraisers (donations can be small and kept private) I learned early on the RICHEST friends my parents had were the most down to earth, sweet and sincere folks.

@DoubleRings I do mechanic work out of my driveway mostly on Harley Davidsons and with my friends all having high maintenance sports cars and bikes it’s not uncommon for them to light up the tires form time to time but yea it’s kinda nuts the lengths the neighbors have gone to stop me

@DoubleRings oh I know I also do a lot of bbqs and with my friends and customers and everyone it’s gets funny as hell especially Fourth of July because we party hard that weekend it’s great one year there was I’d say there was 100 Harleys 10 muscle cars and 10 lifted pickups parked up and down the block and we must have blown off about 2000$ worth of pyrotechnics
