Well I really did it 2day, cut my finger on meat slicer
Got suspended rest of day, was written up, gotta get a drug test, the whole 9 yards. Giving my 2 weeks notice 2morrow I don't need this stress.

{@thebitterone] sorry to hear this . what barbaric age does your firm come from . you never intended to slice your finger accidents do happen . you do have rights and what they doing is wrong and maybe illegal you could take them to the cleaners for this for unfair dismissal

Tough break.
A guy I knew was bought chainmail gloves by his business because he'd become such an insurance liability. After several incidents that left him cut to the bone, and bleeding into a box. He was reckless, and hopeless with a blade though.
Doubting you're that bad, but accidents do happen.

@SethGreene531 I'm as careful as I can be. 2minits from clocking in I had a lineup of 10 people. I suffer from extreme anxiety & I got in too much of a rush. Careless on my part. I also make salads & sandwiches, but I never finish my assignments. Gave my 2 weeks notice 2day, I'm sick of it, retail sux.

I couldn't work a counter, I've done that. Don't know how barristas and sandwich shops do it. The pressure, then the rushing, I wouldnt last. Best of luck to you somewhere else.

@UnderLockDown I highly doubt they'll be surprised. Turnover is pretty high except for long time employees with cushy jobs. Most of them are cashiers, I'd rather have their jobs, I cashiered for 5 years @ a grocery store, it's not that bad

Oh no?! 😣 I did that too before, the lady I worked for was my teacher years ago. She just grabbed my hand and wrapped it up. I got the rest of the day off and she still paid me. Hope you don't have to get stitches! That was mean of them to treat you that way.😐
