Beyond Perfect

there's no such thing as "perfect"; hell, the word and definition shouldn't be in any dictionary because it doesn't exist. I'll never inspire to be, because I'll end up making myself more "imperfect", trying to aspire to be perfect.

"perfect" is a fantasy; some drawn out expectation that a hopeless romantic created - and even they won't admit that their experience did not end, exactly, "happily ever after". afraid to face and accept reality? 馃 possibly. (you can ask them, but they'll just deny it.)

you wanna know what's "perfect"? first sip of morning coffee, fixing something that's broken, first bite of fresh pizza; pay day, with no overdraft fees, making your kid smile, making up to your kid when you know you've let them down. finding your favorite movie on DVD or online at a reasonable price. being able to sleep at night. I'll even throw that branch farther out and say: being able to find someone just as broken and screwed up as you are, finding a common ground and yet still being able to co-exist, as a collective and bonding "unit", despite personal/individual differences that can be talked out and dealt with. (even THAT isn't perfect, but it's an inch away of being close to it...)

*self check-out voice*: "your total is $38.73"

*looks around, embarrassed; noticing line piled up*: my bad. heard a voice, needed to vent. my bad. *puts money in, gets change and pushed cart out*

*yells back* what?! I said I was sorry, damn. *leaves*

馃憤 But some will call themselves weird as if that is perfect. Know what I mean?
