These days they teach it in school.

It's not that simple. Everyone has their limits, sure. But it's a whacky combo of environment, role models, education, opportunities, interests, maturity, patience, peers, experiences, and humility.

Bit of both. Some people are stupid, some people are misled by awful people, but it’s hard to tell the difference
