I’ve got so much wax in my right ear it sometimes sounds like there’s water in there. I swear I clean my ears constantly

You ruled out an ear infection???
@MrAboo Behind your eardrum, there's an area with three small bones in it. In most people, this area has nothing but the bones in it.

In my case, the area around the bones has filled with fluid (glue ear), which has left me with impaired hearing my whole life.

@HootyTheNightOwl does the wax fluid drain into the main ear area? I get a waxy fluid from every now and then... sometimes in both ears, but never in both ears at the same time
@MrAboo It shouldn't - as far as I am aware (I don't remember life from before they started screwing with my ears, though)... but it does in my left ear in my case because I still have a grommet inserted in that eardrum to allow the fluid to drain away into my ear canal itself. They operated on both ears at the same time, but my right one came out a couple of years after the surgery.

That was the last surgery that they could do for me (my eardrums are too badly scarred for future surgeries now).
